About The Position

Freeport LNG is currently looking for an experienced and motivated Operations Improvement Specialist to work with our operations teams at the PTF and Offsite locations. This position presents a significant opportunity for growth and involves guiding the site operations team in enhancing operational functions. The Specialist will be responsible for understanding the production team's needs and ensuring compliance with all process safety-related and non-process safety related programs. This role also provides a platform for continuous learning and development within the operations team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of direct work/high level functional knowledge and experience in Large Scale Liquefaction or Petro-Chemical Facility.
  • Proficiency with SAP, Internet, Email, and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
  • Consistent track record of demonstrating leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree in Chemical/Process Technology.
  • 10+ years of direct work/high level functional knowledge and experience in Large Scale Liquefaction Facility.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing existing processes, tools, and infrastructure to understand and challenge current approaches, identify opportunities/gaps, and ideate enhancements for process optimization.
  • Enhancing usage of current systems/tools and implementing new solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operational responsibilities.
  • Driving process and operations improvements within the operations excellence initiatives.
  • Evaluating and analyzing data to support business strategy and operations improvements.
  • Creating audit processes for each program and establishing KPIs for visual representation of current processes.
  • Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to track ongoing process performance and assess the impact of process improvements.
  • Managing operations policy and procedure database in alliance with Document Control, establishing and enforcing standards for structure, content, compliance, and format.
  • Monitoring revisions, changes, or additions to operations procedures to ensure consistency across all sites.
  • Ensuring compliance of the Inhibit & Override program including SORA's, Car seals, and Fire impairment program.
  • Participating in safety meetings and in the field with the workforce to ensure operational safety.
  • Participating in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.
  • Completing company required training programs.
  • Demonstrating performance toward operational excellence.
