About The Position

The Operations Improvement Analyst identifies opportunities to enhance revenue cycle processes and analytics with specific focus on improving operational performance. Contributes to Prospect (East or West) reporting and analytics development alongside the Director of Operations Improvement. Coordinates reporting with assigned facility and/or Region operations improvement team. Conducts thorough analysis on data to create reports identifying operations trends in areas such as Staffing, Supplies, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, healthcare administration or Equivalent Experience
  • One (1) year of experience working in analytics, reporting or a healthcare setting
  • Experience in utilizing Microsoft Excel and other database management software
  • Basic cost benefit analysis experience
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to analyze and extract data
  • Analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively
  • Ability to self-manage and prioritize multiple tasks

Responsibilities

  • Builds solid relationships with Operations Improvement leadership.
  • Understands multifaceted business problems and develops analytical solutions to complex issues.
  • Partners with internal and external stakeholders in key business areas related to Operations Improvement to create technology solutions for workflow and reporting.
  • Quickly identifies performance gaps based on current/future reporting capabilities and works with facility leadership to define action plans and track ongoing process improvements and financial impact.
  • Mines patient and healthcare provider data from multiple sources, including patient accounting data, productivity reporting and cost accounting.
  • Provides analytical insights to operational improvement team.
  • Continuously monitors reports and dashboards and/or build out new innovative metrics to track operational performance.
  • Assists facility level analysts in maintaining current reporting dashboards, while continuing to strive for metric standardization across the organization.
