About The Position

Responsible for finding and ensuring equipment and driver availability, using them to the maximum efficiency by monitoring freight movement, communicating with drivers, and all other departments and parties connected with freight movement.

Requirements

• High school diploma; college degree a plus
• 3-5 years’ experience as a freight dispatcher

Responsibilities

• Intermediate computer and Internet skills.
• Strong numeric skills.
• Excellent geographic knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with dispatchers, truck drivers, and co-workers, including clarity of thought and explanation.
• Strong follow-up skills.
• Self-motivational personality with exceptional attendance and punctuality.
• Excellent customer service orientation.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced high pressured environment.
• Ability to work with detailed information.
• Ability to work in an ever-changing environment with ongoing interruptions.
• Ability to perform job duties with a sense of urgency.
• Problem-solving ability
