About The Position

BAE Systems is seeking an Operations Finance Analyst to join our Operations Finance Team. You will play a critical role as a trusted financial business partner to several major programs by conducting comprehensive Material Estimate at Completion (EAC) analysis of material usage, costs, and performance including identification of areas for improvement to enhance overall program performance. This is a unique opportunity to work on a cross functional operations team with leadership visibility focused on minimizing risk and maximizing program profit through sound Material EACs (the largest programmatic cost) to drive business outcomes and make data-driven decisions. This role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Position located in the York, PA facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • General knowledge of financial and cost estimating theory and practice.
  • Sound computer skills with ability to create spreadsheets used for financial analysis.
  • Good interpersonal skills in dealing with customers, auditors (internal and external), peers, functional managers, and program management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Good planning, time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop estimates to complete (ETC), estimates at completion (EAC) and forecasts, using various analytical procedures.
  • Support CSRs (Contract Status Reviews), IBPP (Integrated Business Planning Process), FPR (Forward Pricing Rates) and Operating Budgets.
  • Applies well-established accounting, finance, material estimates, theories, concepts, and practices to develop material financial position.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple organizations and create full business partnerships.
  • Maintain documented records supporting financial forecasts used to support CSR's, IBPP, Operating Budget, and FPR.
  • Support inventory audits and excess material analysis and reporting.
  • Develops spreadsheet analysis models and prepares briefings, which will be presented to functional and program managers, supply chain and program finance leadership.
