About The Position

The Operations Engineering Asc. Manager at Lockheed Martin plays a crucial role in the Production Operations team within the Rotary & Mission Systems (RMS) division. This position focuses on continuous process enhancement, leading a team of Manufacturing Engineers, and ensuring efficient production operations. The manager will oversee various programs, drive strategic initiatives, and collaborate cross-functionally to enhance production processes and achieve operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Experience leading people and/or leading projects.
• Experience with SAP/COS or equivalent Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools.

Nice To Haves

• Experience creating new production processes.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering processes.
• LM21 Green Belt, Black Belt or equivalent Lean/Six Sigma training.
• Excellent organization, communication, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Functionally lead a team of 15 manufacturing engineers through all phases of the program lifecycle from proposals and hardware design through sell off.
• Provide guidance, training, and career development for team members.
• Establish and lead a functional strategy, uniting the team around a common mission.
• Leverage data as proactive health indicators to identify risks to production and drive decisions for process enhancements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to drive synergy between teams and resolve issues.
• Enhance process consistency and knowledge continuity to promote repeatability and efficiency.
• Support Design for Manufacturing and Test throughout all stages of development.
• Manage functional budgets including MSRV and DCI.
