About The Position

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an Operations Engineer III for multiple positions available in Bellevue, WA. The role involves identifying, developing, and refining supply chain inputs into topology and timing data science models, deploying and integrating network design optimization changes, and formalizing data science model feature development needs. The engineer will also be responsible for developing innovative solutions that improve network design standards in the North American Transportation Network, partnering with various functions to enhance package shipping efficiency, and establishing goals within a matrix organization. Additional responsibilities include strategizing program initiatives, formulating detailed project plans, sharing project objectives with leadership, developing project metrics, managing budgets, and analyzing program risks.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial engineering or, Business, Management, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in job offered or related occupation.
  • 5 years of experience utilizing AutoCAD to design and construct projects.
  • 5 years of experience utilizing analytical tools to design data charts and graphs including strategic layout design and planning.
  • 5 years of experience leading cross-functional operations teams to provide design input and management techniques.
  • 5 years of experience reporting and presenting engineering analysis and recommendations to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and refine supply chain inputs into topology and timing data science models.
  • Deploy and integrate network design optimization changes output from data science models.
  • Identify, scope, and formalize data science model feature development needs used in network design.
  • Identify, develop and integrate innovative solutions and programs that lead to improvements that redefine the standards for network design in our North American Transportation Network.
  • Partner broadly with engineering, operations, and IT functions to identify opportunities to ship packages faster and cheaper while delivering on-time to meet customer promises.
  • Establish goals to realize opportunities while working within a matrix organization to deliver results.
  • Strategize and implement program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives.
  • Formulate plans with detailed calculations, drawings, diagrams, project specifications and entitlement estimates.
  • Share project scope and objectives through technical document reviews with various leadership teams.
  • Develop project metrics that measure system performance and cost impacts.
  • Develop and manage budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives.
  • Work with other transportation and operations partners to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for management and stakeholders.
