About The Position
As a member of the construction and facilities engineering organization, you will help design, build, activate, and maintain some of the world’s most technically advanced manufacturing facilities. You will be able to operate with autonomy to solve diverse and complex problems, excel at managing multiple projects at a time, and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As an Operations Engineer, you will help oversee ongoing operations and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and utilities. This will involve corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance techniques in relation to a large portion of contract services on campus, as well as operational and design feedback for maintaining and improving all systems at SpaceX's Hawthorne production facility. You will help own multimillion-dollar contracts with service providers, assisting the facilities workplace team on operational services, such as value engineering factory cleanliness, environmental control, waste management, vehicle fleet, and workplace programs. Additionally, a significant part of your role will be creating a world-class production environment, designing, building, and delivering new construction and maintenance projects across campus.
