About The Position

The Operations Dispatch Specialist 1 is responsible for scheduling and dispatching workers, work crews, equipment, or vehicles for services rendered outside the place of business under general supervision. This role provides essential administrative and clerical support to the operations department, which may include calendaring, creating correspondence, developing reports, planning meetings and events, answering phones, and other duties as assigned. The specialist prepares daily work and run schedules, determines the types or amounts of equipment, vehicles, materials, or personnel required according to work orders or specifications, and monitors personnel and/or equipment locations and utilization to coordinate service and schedules. Additionally, they record and maintain files and records of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, and other dispatch information, while conferring with customers or supervising personnel to address questions, problems, and requests for service or equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Four years of related administrative experience.

  • Confers with customers or supervising personnel to address questions, problems, and requests for service or equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
