We’re actively seeking a talented Operations Data Analyst to join our Operations Data Team in Newport Beach, CA Omaha, NE or Charlotte, NC. As an Operations Data Analyst, you’ll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by researching and analyzing operational data trends and supporting data driven decisions. Your colleagues will include fellow operations analysts. How you’ll help move us forward: Supports the development and maintenance of analytical models and tools to identify trends and operational insights. Helps prepare operational analyses related to performance, capacity, and process effectiveness, and contributes to documentation of plans, procedures, and recommendations that support business objectives. Conducts research on internal and external best practices to support benchmarking efforts and assists in identifying opportunities to improve data models, reporting, and analytical techniques. Works collaboratively with team members and business partners to deliver clear, accurate insights.Supports Operations by helping develop, produce, and maintain a variety of real‑time and historical reports. Reporting may include, but is not limited to, service level agreements (SLAs), productivity metrics, service platform analytics, and basic forecasting and modeling. Builds foundational knowledge of Operations, departmental processes, and customers over time. Collaborates with internal partners to help clarify reporting needs, especially when requirements are still evolving or not fully defined. Uses established data analytics and reporting tools to analyze data and identify trends. Partners closely with Senior Data Analysts and team members to learn best practices and support more complex reporting or analysis as needed. Assists with translating data and reports into clear, meaningful insights for business partners and leaders to support informed decision‑making. Helps explain reports and metrics to ensure users understand how to interpret and apply the information. Supports forecasting activities by using historical data, basic statistical concepts, and seasonality trends under guidance from more experienced team members. Assists with capacity, staffing, and overtime analysis to help inform workforce planning and cost management decisions. Serves as a point of contact for routine data and reporting requests for assigned business areas, building familiarity with key performance indicators (KPIs), service metrics, and measurement approaches. Helps ensure the accuracy and consistency of reports and KPIs, aligning outputs with department SLAs and business objectives, and escalating issues or discrepancies as needed.
