About The Position

The position involves participating in all aspects of the conversion process in preparation for events. Duties include setting up and tearing down flooring, portable chairs, operable walls, barricades, staging, tables, and other furnishings and equipment. The role also requires performing various duties to ensure the day-to-day operations of the facility are met, such as loading/unloading delivery trucks, transporting trash and waste to proper disposal areas, and replenishing supplies. Additionally, the position involves assisting with pre/post event cleaning and janitorial tasks, performing repairs and maintenance tasks, and assisting building engineers and subcontractors in construction, repair, and maintenance of the building. The employee must report any irregularities, discrepancies, safety or damage concerns, or loss of property promptly to the supervisor. The role may require working extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma.
  • One (1) to three (3) months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle in the United States.
  • Knowledge of practices and procedures related to event set-up and conversions.
  • Ability to follow all policies/procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules, regulations, and emergency procedures.
  • Ability to perform strenuous physical duties including lifting, carrying, moving, and climbing.
  • Ability to operate equipment such as light trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, boom lifts, and scrubbing machines.

  • Load/unload delivery trucks and transport trash and waste to proper disposal areas.
  • Replenish supplies and assist with pre/post event cleaning and janitorial tasks.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks such as painting, patching, re-lamping, and replacing ceiling tiles.
  • Assist building engineers and subcontractors in construction, repair, and maintenance of the building.
  • Report irregularities, discrepancies, safety or damage concerns, or loss of property to the supervisor.
  • Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required.
