About The Position

The Inventory Manager is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and optimization of all inventory processes within the operation. This role leads inventory control efforts, resolves discrepancies, collaborates closely with customers to ensure fulfillment accuracy, and delivers timely reporting and data insights to support business performance. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capability, operational discipline, and proactive communication skills to drive accountability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of inventory management or supply chain experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, ADP, or equivalent).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead inventory audits and process improvements.
  • Strong communication skills with experience supporting customer-facing interactions.
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving capability.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels across all SKUs and locations.
  • Conduct routine cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation activities.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including receiving, shipping, and system variances.
  • Oversee and approve inventory adjustments in accordance with company policy.
  • Identify root causes of inventory inaccuracies and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure proper receiving processes and documentation to minimize errors and shrinkage.
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for customers regarding inventory status and availability.
  • Communicate proactively about shortages, discrepancies, backorders, and fulfillment timelines.
  • Coordinate cross-functional follow-up actions with operations, warehouse, and customer service teams.
  • Support efficient order fulfillment by aligning inventory availability with customer demand.
  • Participate in customer review meetings as needed to address inventory performance metrics.
  • Generate and distribute regular inventory performance reports (accuracy, aging, turnover, adjustments, etc.).
  • Analyze trends and identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and working capital performance.
  • Maintain accurate records within ERP/WMS systems.
  • Update system data and reporting structures in alignment with policy or process changes.
  • Support leadership with ad hoc data analysis and performance insights.
  • Ensure a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for employees.
  • Manage site hourly and exempt employees.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews, individual development plans and succession plans.
  • Ensure company policies are communicated, administered, and enforced at appropriate levels.
