About The Position

Requirements

  • High school diploma and 1+ year of administrative assistant experience or equivalent combination of work and educational experience.
  • Experience working on an assembly or construction site is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Schedule flexibility to respond to emergency situations.
  • Current driver's license and ability to operate vehicles.
  • Entry level to intermediate level construction experience required.
  • Light carpentry and electrical experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the construction and/or carpentry industries preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the coordination of daily yard activities of workers and drivers.
  • Utilize computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite and NAV.
  • Coordinate scheduling of deliveries, pickups, and multi-sectional set-ups.
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company employees.
  • Monitor oversight of stock assignment to branches.
  • Issue and track vendor purchase orders.
  • Assist in monitoring purchasing and expenses associated with yard and equipment maintenance.
  • Schedule and organize service calls, vendors, and inside service techs in response to rental clients.
  • Maintain and manage filing system for the branch.
  • Act as a liaison to other departments and outside agencies.
  • Handle confidential information and work independently on projects.
  • Type general correspondences, memos, charts, tables, etc.
  • Proofread copies for spelling, grammar, and layout, making appropriate changes.
  • Process accounting documentation as required.
