The Operations Coordinator - Routing (Dispatch) is responsible for routing orders for next day delivery while supporting all delivery and warehouse departmental functions. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient operations within the delivery department.

  • Route orders for next day delivery utilizing VIP, Roadnet routing software
  • Utilize truck loading software after routing is complete and place all contents in the correct bays for the case pickers to execute
  • Assist with identifying any issues/ideas/solutions that will enhance the operation
  • Answer phones as necessary from customers, both internal and external
  • Support all delivery and warehouse operations as needed
  • Supervise night loader, driver and day warehouse union employees
  • Establish daily manpower requirements for loading and delivery drivers
  • Work within the parameters of the current collective bargaining agreement
  • Other duties as needed
  • High school diploma or GED certificate required
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Distribution experience preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must meet state age requirements
  • Valid driver license
  • Highly self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Highly organized with ability to manage priorities and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong internal and external customer orientation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with local, state and federal liquor laws
