About The Position

The Operations Consultant primary role is to interface with clients and enhance their development in Turnaround Ops fundamentals; this includes listening and fully understanding their needs, while also applying processes, methods and tools that add value to our clients TA Bookends improvement journey. In this role, responsibilities range from delivery of technical consulting in the form of onsite workshops, including feedback presentations, as well as assignments at a given client facility to help drive overall Turnaround Ops improvements.

Requirements

Must have an interest in helping others (servant’s heart), work well as a team member and enjoy developing new relationships.
20+ years of experience in (or deep exposure to) TA Operations roles.
Innovative mindset with ability to drive improvements in people, processes, and tools (Creative thinking) that align with RTI and CruzAlta’s strategic mission.
Strong Communication Skills, including listening, speaking, information processing, reading, writing, handling data.
Ability to work and thrive by influencing in a cross functional environment.
Sense of urgency and focus to manage multiple projects with time constraints.
Strong attention to detail, specifically with project management interests.
High degree of drive, self-initiative, and process-oriented thinking.
Willingness to adjust (flexibility) and ability to adjust (versatility) to effectively deal change, complexity, problems, conflict, and/or ambiguity.

Nice To Haves

Extensive experience required if not degreed.
Owner/Operator TA Operations experience is preferred
Mechanical expertise and aptitude are a benefit
Lean and process improvement experience is a benefit

Responsibilities

Deliver CruzAlta turnaround consulting services via CAPE reviews remotely and at client facilities.
Lead interview sessions with all levels of the plant organization
Strive to fully understand overall position of the Ops Turnaround planning status
Provide clients with feedback and coaching along the way
Deliver final feed back presentations to clients with an emphasis on “telling the story” of their turnaround preparedness.
Deliver misc. turnaround consulting services remotely and at client facilities:
Develop, enhance, and improve client’s turnaround operations capabilities.
Be able to coach and develop Ops TA coordinators as well as Ops TA supervisors
Assist in client’s shutdown and startup procedure development.
Participate in internal meetings to assist in the development of all CruzAlta’s tools and processes
