About The Position

The Operations Connectivity Architect is a Connectivity operations and remediation leader that will audit and project manage the OSP, ISP and planning infrastructure of existing and newer data center facilities. The position will require a very hands-on approach and engagement with customers, providing solid telecom-related governance to Development, chasing problems to resolution, and offering guidance on fiber construction and hyperscale values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Ten or more years of relevant professional experience including extensive experience in all aspects of Cloud and Network Services.
  • OSP and ISP auditing and project management experience

Nice To Haves

  • Ten or more years of experience working in a data center environment focused on Site development
  • Proven record of accomplishment in Cloud and Network Services business development.
  • Ability to pull together cross-functional support for business development initiatives.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills; advanced ability in problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Must have a team focus while maintaining a demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Ability to manage a wide variety of complex tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with customer relationship management and opportunity tracking; ability to understand and clearly present to customers highly technical concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify needs and communicate how to solve those needs.
  • Monitor new trends, new technology, and new service development across the industry.
  • Track and analyze past performance and lessons learned to refine installation processes and procedures and strategies
  • Interpret Butterfly drawings, KMZ, site plans and connectivity turnover documents
  • Experience with CAD design, fiber locator and GIS tools
  • Be a resource to bridge the gap with Connectivity and Development teams
  • Bring large enterprise org process and documentation experience to help mature current QTS processes
  • Integral part of the Connectivity Operations Audits process
  • Customer engagement at various project sites, as well as regularly attending internal operations and customer meetings.
  • Knowledgeable on OSP, ISP, Vault, Manhole and handhole installation, management and best practices and industry standards.
  • Interact with Pre & Post Development teams and must be able to communicate across all areas of the organization.
  • Experience working with 3rd party vendors for OSP and ISP audits and remediation
  • Working knowledge of budget process and invoice management
  • Able to build long-term strategic vendor partnerships
  • Familiar with creating and overseeing vendor RFPs through completion.
  • Excellent vendor management skills
