About The Position

The Learning Experience is seeking an experienced Operational Compliance Manager to support childcare centers nationwide while being based in the New York Metro Area. This field-based role is responsible for maintaining brand standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving consistent operational quality across all locations. The ideal candidate brings childcare field operations experience, a strong understanding of licensing frameworks, and a passion for quality assurance. This role involves some travel and plays a critical part in protecting children’s safety, strengthening center performance, and reinforcing operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Business Administration, Compliance Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in operational compliance, childcare operations, or regulated environments
  • Strong knowledge of state childcare licensing standards and regulatory requirements
  • Experience with audits, inspections, quality assurance, or brand compliance preferred
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations, health codes, and operational standards for childcare centers
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and documentation skills
  • Strong communication and coaching abilities with comfort training onsite teams
  • Proficiency with reporting and documentation software tools
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel around the NY Metro Area
  • This is a remote, field-based role requiring residence within the New York Metro Area to support frequent onsite center visits.

Responsibilities

  • Lead operational compliance efforts to ensure centers meet regulatory guidelines, licensing standards, and company policies
  • Conduct regular audits and onsite inspections to assess brand standards, quality delivery, and operational consistency
  • Partner with training teams to develop and deliver compliance-focused education and coaching for center staff
  • Identify compliance risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies
  • Respond to compliance-related incidents promptly and effectively
  • Maintain accurate documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports
  • Prepare clear reporting for leadership on trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Build strong working relationships with center directors, regional leaders, and cross-functional teams
  • Support continuous improvement by recommending enhancements to policies, processes, and systems
  • Stay current on regulatory changes and childcare industry best practices
