Join a team that is passionate about building the capacity of others to tackle gun violence through proven interventions and strategies. This is a full-time hybrid position based out of Roca’s Baltimore office. Founded in 2019, the Roca Impact Institute, a program of Roca, Inc., equips public and private institutions and individuals working at the center of urban violence with tools and strategies to address trauma, reduce violence, and improve outcomes for young people. We do this by working with agencies that have significant impact on the young people most likely to shoot or be shot, providing: Training in trauma-informed interventions to build new knowledge, skills, and practices. Facilitating the design and implementation of focused, coordinated approaches to supporting agency and systems change. Coaching to build staff capacity to implement, adapt and sustain programming over time. Roca is an internationally recognized community violence intervention organization that has been moving the needle on urban violence for more than three decades. In recent years in Massachusetts, 4 of 5 young men who came to Roca with a violent record stopped engaging in violence, and 95% of young men who completed two years with Roca were not re-incarcerated. Position Overview: The Operations Associate provides high quality day-to-day administrative and logistics support for client work delivered by the Roca Impact Institute. We are looking for an organized and self-directed individual with demonstrated experience coordinating training and travel logistics and completing administrative duties with accuracy and follow-through. The ideal candidate for this position has outstanding attention to detail, can manage a running task list, can effectively prioritize to meet deadlines, and is a proactive problem solver.
