About The Position

Heritage Landscape Supply is hiring for a full time Operations Associate in Mooresville! ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Soil mix receipts, including but not limited to writing recipes for custom soils and growing media. Maintains understanding of materials used in mix production. Handles all customer requests for custom soils and growing media. Provides price quotes and takes orders for custom soils and growing media. Tracks project costs on current and ongoing jobs Will provide a summary cost report upon project completion Maintains job specification files. Submits soil samples to laboratory for testing. All lab analysis for specified projects are updated each 90 days. Regularly performs testing on in house bulk materials. Evaluates and interprets soils and soil related data, including but not limited to soil specifications for a job and soil laboratory test results. Performs research on soil forming factors, soil chemistry, soil physics and soil biology. Evaluate soil conditions and help contractors, builders, and landscapers decide how best to take advantage of local soils. Consult with engineers and other technical personnel working on construction and landscape projects about the effects of, and solutions to, soil problems. Communicates with architects and soil consultants as needed. Coordinates with Inventory Control when material is needed. Coordinates production scheduling with Inventory Control. Performs required administrative tasks including production reports; prepares all required reports and correspondence in a timely manner based on agreed timelines. Research and Development Development of new blends and media Regular pursuit of material options that might improve quality or profitability. Assists with special projects as required. Regularly scheduled ride-around to maintain relationships and monitor soil qualities with key accounts. Approximately 2 days per month. Building a pipeline of prospects for potential future business Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Able to pass background and drug screening

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of: Accounting software; Database software; Internet software; Inventory software, Order Processing systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
  • Able to pass background and drug screening
