About The Position

The Operations Associate is responsible for reviewing incoming documentation, assessing completeness and accuracy, and making timely, accurate decisions that move work through the next steps of the operational process. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to meeting daily quality and productivity expectations.

Requirements

  • Data entry
  • Finance or insurance industry comprehension
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency
  • Strong data integrity practices
  • Operational and administrative processing experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
  • 1+ years of work experience required; experience in financial services or annuities preferred.
  • Proven ability to work independently, stay focused, and meet daily performance metrics in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to navigate multiple administrative systems.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain processes and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort collaborating with management and peers.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and willingness to learn new tasks and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate incoming documents for accuracy and completeness; establish application or policy data within Athene systems.
  • Make timely decisions to route work to the appropriate next step based on established procedures.
  • Enter data accurately and efficiently while meeting required productivity and quality metrics.
  • Follow documented procedures for processing annuity applications and related workflows.
  • Communicate proactively with management regarding issues, trends, or process improvement opportunities.
  • Follow up on outstanding information and request missing requirements as needed.
  • Participate in team problem-solving, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross‑training opportunities.
  • Adapt to new tasks or workflow changes as business needs evolve.
  • Manage time effectively, minimize distractions, and maintain consistent productivity.
