About The Position

Participate in all functions associated with the production, warehousing, and distribution of products. Work on computer, order materials, do change overs, troubleshoot machine and keep machine running to established expectations. Requirements

• High school graduate or GED equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a paper converting environment.
• Ability to use basic tools including wrenches, hammers, utility knives, screwdrivers, brooms, and measuring devices.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in warehousing/shipping environments is helpful.
• Experience in quality management systems (FDA, ISO, Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, etc.) is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently perform manufacturing, assembly, packaging and warehousing of product to meet customer demand which may include operation of paper converting machines and/or forklifts.
• Troubleshoot and respond to production issues timely, i.e., shortage of materials, inventory issues, out of spec raw materials, quality issues, equipment issues, etc.
• Complete and maintain production records both manually and with computer systems.
• Willingness and flexibility to work a variety of shifts that involve all days of the week as needed.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime on short notice as determined by the business.
• All other assignments assigned by management.
