The Operations Assistant position at the Huntsville Botanical Garden is primarily an evening part-time role that works from 3:30pm to close on weekdays, 3 to 4 days a week, and at least one 8-hour shift on weekends. Some availability on holidays is also required. The role involves performing daily grounds and equipment maintenance to provide a safe, healthy, and inviting environment that reflects the standards of operation of the organization. Responsibilities include performing Garden opening and/or closing duties on a rotating schedule, responding to maintenance or setup needs when primary maintenance staff isn’t present, and adhering to policies and procedures that support the overall mission and strategies of the organization.
