About The Position

As an Operations Assistant, you will…assists supervisor and/or assistant supervisor in the implementation of daily objectives and effectively communicating expectations to associates to achieve departmental goals.

Requirements

• 1-3yrs distribution or relevant supervisory experience w/2yr degree Or 5yrs demonstrated supervisor/leadership experience, preferably in a distribution environment w/high school diploma or equivalent required
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills
• A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to assist fellow associates

Responsibilities

• Train and develop hourly staff in assigned area
• Operate as a back-up to assist supervisor to ensure orderly operation of DC
• Co-ordinate work assignments as directed
• Assist in maintaining the highest performance, housekeeping and safety standards
• Develop and recommend operational improvements where appropriate and assist with implementation upon approval
• Work within WMS/PKMS IT systems to monitor workflow and generate reports
• Assist in directing hourly associates, monitoring work methods and recommend retraining and/or disciplinary action
• The ability to multi-task and work in a constant state of alertness
• Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor for the effective operation of the facility
