The Operations Assistant will serve as a critical resource to the Director of Operations in the areas of office management and operations. As a member of the Operations team, the employee will be responsible for performing general administrative and clerical support duties, including the front office reception, reports, and other correspondence, creating and managing filing systems, answering phone messages, and more. BGCNIC serves 3,000 children ages 5-18 at 35 sites across northern Indiana through summer and before and after-care programming, with a strong focus on social and emotional learning, college and workforce readiness, and academic enrichment to ensure every child has a chance to meet his or her potential.   • Oversee regular preparation of relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports.
  • Handle inventory and stock of office.
  • Responsible for basic data entry in addition to drafts, reviews, and proofs for all office documents.
  • Receiving visitors, answering the phones, receiving and sorting packages and maintaining responses in Slack.
  • Assists with orders for administration when needed.
  • Manages calendars for CEO & Director of Operations.
  • Experience assisting leadership positions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google.
  • Be able to multitask while also being detail-oriented.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Strong emphasis on solution-based thinking positivity, and ability to execute solutions.
  • Must have excellent communication and relationship building skills and represent the organization with the highest level of polish and professionalism to colleagues, staff, Club families, benefactors, community partners and board members.
  • Must be self-motivated, competitive, creative, personable, and detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Strong emphasis on solution-based thinking, positivity, and ability to execute.
  • Team player who is ethical, transparent in communication, and treats colleagues, Club members, and their families with the highest level of respect.
  • Must be able to pass any and all required background screens and drug screens at any time.
