The Operations and Purchasing Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the manufacturing operations by managing material flows, inventory levels, and procurement activities. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a customer supportive role in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Completely manage an inter company product line from order entry to shipping and customer service.
  • Manage production personnel related to the specific program.
  • Manage incoming materials to meet internal business unit demand and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Manage the production schedule as it relates to the program.
  • Collate purchase orders and purchase requisitions to order materials, goods, and supplies.
  • Send requests for quotes and purchase orders to suppliers.
  • Review inventories and create replenishment orders as required.
  • Interact with suppliers on a day-to-day basis.
  • Review deliveries against orders and track on-time delivery and quality vendor performance.
  • Track the status of any orders and produce and maintain all purchasing and inventory reports.
  • Manage procurement activities including RFQs (Request for Quote).
  • Create stock orders in the ERP system and maintain all stock and finished goods inventory levels.
  • Complete all inventory transfers and receive all materials in the ERP system.
  • Review all incoming orders for completeness and accuracy and ensure they are correctly loaded into the ERP system.
