  • Broad Knowledge of Dimensional Metrology Practices and Zeiss Calypso CMM Software Programming Experience
  • Expert level experience with offline programming using Zeiss Calypso CMM Software Version 7.2 or higher
  • Knowledge of GD&T and CMM Tools for Metrology
  • Knowledge of Precision Machining, Secondary Processes, Coatings, Platings, etc. – is desirable (optional)

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes Applied Materials’ drawings and CAD models to validate supplier parts to the part print.
  • Applies ASME Y14.5 GD&T concepts and fundamentals for dimensional inspection of supplier parts.
  • Conveys Out of Tolerance data to engineering for part disposition.
  • Communicates methods of inspection to suppliers including tools used, set-up methods and Datum establishment, for alignment/collaboration.
  • Acts as a feedback conduit to design engineering for dimensioning and tolerancing on critical parts.
  • Develops and verifies CMM programs to Applied Materials part prints utilizing ASME Y14.5 standards and metrology BKMs
  • Designs and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating precision parts using 2D and 3D part prints.
  • Utilize part datum structure for programming parts in a concise and efficient method using simulation mode and STEP CAD files to minimize editing post program creation.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specification requirements.
  • Develops and uses procedures. Prepares documentation for inspection/ testing procedures.
