About The Position

Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. We are seeking an Operations Analytics Manager to drive the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, cross-functional technology initiatives. You will work independently with multiple engineering teams to manage difficult technology projects from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality results that meet business objectives. You will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams, translating strategic goals into actionable technical programs while accelerating delivery through effective program management practices. This role requires strong technical acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while driving alignment across diverse teams. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining business intelligence solutions, creating and managing interactive dashboards to drive data-driven decision-making. You will manage a small technology program, partnering with shopfloor managers to identify, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) that support business objectives, secure resources, set priorities, and deliver solutions that delight customers and drive organizational success.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 3+ years of analytical, quantitative, communication, and presentations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage a small technology program, successfully delivering product improvements and meeting program goals by managing difficult, cross-functional technology projects from concept to delivery.
  • Partner with technical shop managers to secure resources, scope engineering efforts, set priorities and milestones, and drive delivery to meet deadlines while defining clear requirements and maintaining project schedules.
  • Provide technical leadership including understanding design approaches and industry technologies, diving deep into architecture, dependency impacts, efficiency, performance, and operability, while recognizing when designs are too complex and connecting the right stakeholders to technical conversations.
  • Accelerate progress by driving crisp decisions, identifying and clearing blockers, managing schedules to minimize disruption, and overseeing roll-out processes including deployment and post-launch support.
  • Partner effectively with customers, stakeholders, and engineering teams to define and track success metrics, apply process improvement methodologies to increase productivity, and optimize cross-team processes.
  • Help recruit candidates, mentor team members, and provide constructive feedback to develop others' skills and abilities.
