Operational Analyst job opportunity with a manufacturer or test and measurement instruments for development of next generation high-performance communication, consumer electronics and computer products. The Operations Analyst position supports development, manufacturing and distribution and warehousing for the manufacture of high-speed protocol test instruments. From operational analysis and ERP data prepare management reports defining and evaluating operational problems and recommend solutions. Analyze inventory/physical material tracking recommend solutions for improvement. Provide repeatable reusable reports to present to management. Reconcile inventory discrepancies, develop quantitative methods to maintain accurate inventory/material data. Define data requirements within the ERP system, gather and validate ERP information to ensure the system successfully tracks physical materials. Observe the current ERP system operations from the receiving through shipping process as this is related to inventory/physical material tracking. Reconcile inventory discrepancies, identify and resolve any physical material related issues i.e. tracking, retrieval, quantity discrepancies between physical and the ERP data. Formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision making, policy formulation, or other managerial functions related to stabilizing the production cycle. Collect and analyze data from the ERP system to develop supply optimal time, cost, or logistics networks for program evaluation, review, and/or implementation. Formulate mathematical or simulation models of inventory and supply problems, relating constants and variables, restrictions, alternatives, conflicting objectives, and their numerical parameters. Collaborate with senior managers and decision makers to identify and solve various problems impacting product development and delivery. Analyze information obtained from the ERP system and management to conceptualize and define operational problems and track the extent and magnitude of the problems. Study and analyze information about alternative courses of action to determine which plan will offer the best outcomes. Specify computational methods to be applied in improvements to materials management program. Develop and apply time and cost networks to plan, control, and review large procurements.
