As an Operations Analyst II at GLS, you will promote improvements and modifications to GLS Business Processes through rigorous analysis along the dimensions of risk, default probability, capacity needs, and internal cost efficiencies. You will work to develop tools used in simulation/Monte Carlo analysis, gather market and competitor research data to understand alignment with standard practices and/or potential innovation opportunities, and maintain a strong comprehensive understanding of competitiveness relative to key industry drivers. Additionally, you will assist with key control processes and report administration, provide support for databases and applications owned by the team, and communicate and present analytical findings to management. You will independently determine specific activities/approach to meet department goals identified by management and develop and maintain a daily work schedule that effectively meets the needs of the business unit and company. Running daily reports to optimize workflow efficiency and ensuring the team meets service level expectations of internal and external customers will also be part of your responsibilities. You will foster a collaborative culture that facilitates the achievement of business plan objectives by working closely with other associates and members of management, participate in special projects as needed, and perform additional assignments as required by the needs of the company or as directed by management. The position allows for hybrid work from home two days a week within a reasonable commuting distance of the Greenville, SC office.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Eighteen (18) months of experience as a Business Analyst, Operations Analyst, or related occupation.
  • Working knowledge of SQL relational databases.
  • Advanced Excel skills including VBA.
  • Experience with PowerBI or related presentation and interactive dashboard tools (e.g. Latex Beamer, Tableau, etc.).
  • Experience designing and implementing A/B tests for significance.
  • Experience with predictive modeling and statistical analysis leveraging Markov Chains, Static Pool Analysis, and Time series Analysis.
