About The Position

This position is located in the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) Deputy Director of support operations office, under FHP HR management. The incumbent in this position is responsible for performing a full range of assignments in a confidential capacity under limited supervision. This work includes conducting reviews and providing guidance regarding division personnel positions, related programs, conducting independent research and analysis in order to make organizational staffing recommendations to senior management. This position will be required to initiate and review personnel position related actions such as classification packets, hiring packets, reassignments, salary changes, and other changes for efficiency, consistency and compliance purposes, develop and maintain various databases, review, analyze and research personnel procedures, retention and other personnel matters.

Requirements

  • Ability to compile and assimilate moderately complex data, information and statistics.
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Access).
  • Skilled in researching and compiling data.
  • Ability to understand, interpret and apply rules, regulations, laws, and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with others.
  • Knowledge of personnel/classification related actions.
  • Skilled in providing customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to independently organize and handle multiple priorities and assignments.
  • Ability to work with confidential information.
