About The Position
The Operations Analyst for Medicaid New Option Waiver/Comprehensive Supports Waivers serves as the customer service contact and subject matter expert to providers, individuals, families, partner agencies, and DBHDD staff regarding billing and approval processes for Medicaid waiver and DBHDD state funded services. This role involves authorizing services including Individual Support Plan and version change approvals through IDD Connects and the IDD Information System. The analyst monitors service utilization and processing of state funds allocations and reviews reports from state funded providers. Additionally, they gather, compile, and analyze fiscal and service utilization data, research and respond to inquiries concerning spending and utilization trends, program issues, billing problems, rules, and regulations, and prepare reports of findings and analysis. The analyst makes recommendations to Regional Field Office leadership and the Director of Field Operations for operational changes and performs complex administrative duties and statistical, financial, or operational data analysis and reporting in support of management decision making. They identify trends, discrepancies, and variances to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations, and may partner with other departments, divisions, outside agencies, and vendors to address business issues. The position requires exercising independent judgment based on policy and regulations and may involve administering or providing high-level support for various projects, grants, contracts, and implementation of procedures. The analyst may also be asked to assist in other regions and perform additional duties as assigned.
