About The Position

Systems Technology & Research, Inc. (STaR) is seeking an Operations/Administrative Support Analyst in the Huntsville, AL area supporting Army Aviation. Candidates should be highly motivated and responsive self-starters with the ability to manage multiple tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience with Army operations, task management, and staff coordination. Candidate responsibilities include but are not limited to - staffing, tracking, and completion of assigned tasks, technical writing and preparing official documentation IAW Army Regulation (AR) 25-50, creating and completing travel documentation, and coordination of meetings and conference room support.

Requirements

  • Must have a BA/BS degree and twelve (12) years of experience in administrative support, military operations support, staff coordination, or related role.
  • Experience preparing and managing correspondence in accordance with Army Regulation (AR) 25-50 operations and staff processes.
  • Working knowledge of ETMS2 task management systems and processes.
  • Experience coordinating and processing government travel.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact professionally with both government and contractor personnel.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DoD security clearance or the ability to obtain.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a government project office is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Staffing, tracking, and completion of assigned tasks
  • Technical writing and preparing official documentation IAW Army Regulation (AR) 25-50
  • Creating and completing travel documentation
  • Coordination of meetings and conference room support
  • Carry out recurring office procedures independently, performing a variety of administrative functions including supporting Division-level operational requirements.
  • Maintain a close and highly responsive relationship in the day-to-day activities of the supervisor and staff.
  • Prepare briefings, coordinate visits ensuring security procedures are followed, track deliverables and suspense dates, and communicate with higher headquarters.
  • Monitor progress toward assignment and completion of various ETMS2 taskings and initiatives.
  • Assist with coordination, consolidation, analysis, distribution and monitoring of action items, suspense, and responses.
  • Utilizing the Defense Travel System, assist with travel planning, travel arrangements and execution IAW with the Defense Travel Administrator's Manual.
  • Draft documents for the approval and signature of senior leadership.
  • Monitor and support a variety of meetings and conferences to include, but not limited to, scheduling and coordination of physical and virtual meetings in support office staff and external participants.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, papers and briefings IAW applicable policies and templates.
  • Maintain appointment calendars and conference room schedules.
