About the job: Kent is looking for an Operations Administration Intern to be based in Houston, TX. Skills and Responsibilities: Responsibilities: Assists in developing business development materials such as proposals, presentations, and client briefs while coordinating with technical, finance and project teams to ensure accurate and compelling content. Supports accounts payable/receivable processes, including invoice tracking, reconciliations and resolving discrepancies. Conducts basic financial analysis, including trend analysis and cost-benefit evaluations for projects or operational initiatives. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather financial inputs and ensure accuracy in reporting and planning activities. Supports cost tracking and forecasting by updating project budgets, monitoring expenditures and analyzing variances against baseline plans. Helps prepare project controls reports and dashboards, including schedule performance, cost performance and key project metrics. Coordinates with project managers, engineering and finance teams to gather data and ensure alignment on project status and forecasts. Learns about Kent procedures and project execution methodologies through mentoring of Department Leaders and self-study as assigned. Participates in in-house and learning activities as directed by Mentor. Understands and follows safe work practices. Performs other tasks as assigned. Behavior/ Core Competencies: Computer skills and application of software programs. Ability to develop effective planning, project, and organizational skills.
