About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Operations Accounting Systems & Process Manager to join our accounting team. The Operations Accounting Systems & Process Manager bridges the gap between operations and accounting by overseeing the software and workflows that power our organization’s financial operations. This individual will seek to optimize our systems and processes while maintaining data integrity and strong internal controls to safeguard assets. This position will work closely with Operations Managers, the VP of Operations Accounting and other senior management to support strategic financial planning and decision-making. The position will be based out of the Jefferson City Office but will require travel and fieldwork.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or closely related field.
  • Seven or more years of relevant experience in working with financial statements, budget and forecast preparation, financial analysis, and general accounting knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven experience in management and operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree, CPA or CMA is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design and document accounting procedures.
  • Evaluate current accounting workflows to identify inefficiencies and lead system upgrades and implementations.
  • Standardize processes across business units or locations.
  • Manage system integrations to ensure financial data is accurate, consistent, and readily available for reporting.
  • Work with operations and executive leadership to align financial procedures with business goals.
  • Develop user documentation and provide training to staff on new systems, features, or procedural changes.
  • Assist with the annual audit.
  • Management and leadership of a team of individuals performing a variety of tasks.
  • Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of ad hoc reports.
  • Ability to interpret and conceptualize practical, as well as abstract problems, leveraging the available information effectively to make sound and innovative conclusions, solutions, decisions, and recommendations accordingly.
  • Participate in the development of the company's strategic plans.
  • Ability to travel to work sites as needed.
