About The Position

Carrier Enterprise, LLC (“Carrier Enterprise”), a joint venture between Watsco, Inc. (“Watsco”) and Carrier Corporation (“Carrier”) has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Accounting Supervisor. (Salary-90k-100k) The Operations Accounting Supervisor position is responsible for functioning in a professional and knowledgeable manner. This position is an experienced level position that reports directly to the Operations Accounting Manager and will perform the following responsibilities:

Requirements

  • Currently hold a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience; CPA Preferred;
  • Experience with supervising direct reports is required to qualify;
  • Extensive hands on experience with the responsibilities/duties listed above;
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment, including Excel and Word;
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to details;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral;
  • Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality with regard to the information that is processed;
  • Ability to work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other corporate team members and operational team members;
  • Ability to work well under pressure and within short deadlines; and
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Associate's degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Experience managing in a B2B environment in distribution or wholesale sales preferred but not required
  • Excellent relationship-building skills; must be a team builder as well as a team player with a focus on sales.

Responsibilities

  • Manage staff of 2-4 Staff Accountants;
  • Develop strong working relationships with Field Marketing, Finance, and Sales stakeholders; communicate program details, promotional mechanics, and financial requirements to ensure consistent understanding and accurate accounting of promotional spend and results;
  • Perform period-over-period and trend analysis on activity data, investigating variances exceeding established thresholds; validate findings and document explanations to maintain data integrity and control;
  • Review Credit and Rebill submissions for customer corrections;
  • Review account reconciliations ensuring that proper level of analytical review has been applied to each reconciliation;
  • Assist with month end closing process;
  • Assist with internal and external audit requirements;
  • Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley testing and compliance;
  • Identify and manage projects to drive process improvements and increase automation;
  • Lead in the projects for identification and implementation of new technology;
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
