Operations Accounting Manager
About The Position
Carrier Enterprise, LLC (“Carrier Enterprise”), a joint venture between Watsco, Inc. (“Watsco”) and Carrier Corporation (“Carrier”) has an immediate opening for an Operations Accounting Manager. Carrier Enterprise (CE) is a premier national distributor specializing in residential and light commercial Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) products, parts, and supplies. We serve licensed HVAC/R dealers and contractors, ensuring top-quality HVAC solutions across 28 states, Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, Latin America, Mexico, and Canada. With over 200+ locations, we are well-positioned to meet our customers' HVAC/R needs. The Operations Accounting Manager leads a team of 8 Accountants and oversees core accounting functions including financial analysis, account reconciliations, and the month-end closing process. This role requires collaboration with Finance and Operations leadership to optimize processes and identify efficiency opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 8-10 years of experience
- Proven supervisory experience with demonstrated expertise in accounting operations, financial analysis, and month-end close processes
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word) and strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively across teams
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work independently under pressure, and meet tight deadlines

Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 8 Accountants
- Collaborate with Finance and Operations leaders to optimize processes and identify centralization opportunities
- Design, record, and review key accounting calculations, analyses, and financial entries
- Review account reconciliations and ensure adequate analytical support for all asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries
- Lead month-end closing process and manage financial close activities
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity
- Oversee implementation of new accounting technology and systems
- Lead internal/external audit requirements, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance testing, and other responsibilities as assigned
