About The Position

The Operations Accountant is responsible for managing daily accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, along with general accounting responsibilities for the Craft organization. This role involves ensuring efficient processes, implementing new ERP systems, and aligning accounting practices with the organization's budget and expectations. The position is remote and requires collaboration with various teams while maintaining a high degree of independence.

Requirements

• 3+ years of related experience is required.
• Degree or equivalent educational course work in accounting preferred.
• Experience with SAP or Microsoft Dynamics / NAV preferred; Infor M3 is highly desired.
• Proficient with Excel.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• High degree of attention to detail.
• Self-starter with the ability to work remotely and independently.
• Flexible to meet changing priorities and the ability to prioritize workload to achieve on-time accurate results.
• Strong analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Infor M3 is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle accounts payable, including vendor management.
• Prepare payment runs and post direct debit payments.
• Enforce proper accounting policies and principles as it pertains to accounts payable.
• Ensure internal controls are followed and maintained related to the accounts payable function.
• Ensure proper GL coding for all AP activity recorded in accordance with the chart of accounts.
• Assist with month-end accruals.
• Post cash receipts payments and apply them to customer accounts.
• Process credit cards and reconcile settlements.
• Obtain and review credit reports for new customers.
• Assist with various inquiries and requests related to accounts payable and receivable functions from customers, vendors, and auditors.
• Assist with customer collections issues.
• Assist team with ad hoc projects and assistance in other job functions as needed.
• Assist with implementation of accounting tools to help automate and streamline processes.
