About The Position

UDR is seeking qualified candidates for an Operational Support Specialist opportunity to support an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project. This position is primarily involved in work in the computer field performing systems analysis, design, development, documentation, testing, or modification of computer systems or programs. The role involves understanding of Governance, Risk, and Compliance practices to ensure system and data integrity. The position exercises discretion and judgment. The Specialist I has a depth of knowledge within designated Information Technology (IT) area of responsibility that is applied to diverse assignments. This position may collaborate with customers, vendors, industry consultants, and company management in order to drive results. This role supports IT projects and may guide and share knowledge with other IT staff.

Requirements

• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and five (5) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to nine (9) years if non-degreed.
• Demonstrated capability in technical writing and documentation development.
• Knowledge in the field of enterprise Microsoft Windows architecture.
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain critical planning, monitoring, and reporting processes as well as required documentation, for the timely coordination and completion of project tasks.
• Work closely with team members and stakeholders to understand project requirements and contribute to the alignment of software solutions with organizational goals.
• Understand and assess business needs and guide clients to fulfillment in a manner compliant with all necessary legal and contractual practices.
• Assist in various aspects of software projects, including design, testing, and deployment, under the guidance of senior team members.
• Maintain a customer-focused approach, addressing user needs and ensuring software solutions meet end-user requirements.
• Produce technical documentation related to job bulletins, procedures, and practices.
• Participate with cross-functional team members in issue identification, process impacts, and solution development discussions.
• Demonstrate capability in technical writing and documentation in diagramming existing systems or new systems.
• Communicate effectively with team members, providing updates on project progress, escalating complex problems to higher-level specialists.
• Maintain documentation related to software development, including coding standards, procedures, and user manuals.
• Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in software development.
• Contribute ideas for process improvements and innovative solutions to enhance software applications.
• Participate in training programs and collaborative knowledge-sharing activities within the team.
• Promote, encourage and model Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) principles across employees and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and regulations, such as data privacy and cybersecurity standards.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards.
