The Logistics Team member will be responsible for ensuring all product inbound, stocked and shipped is as accurate as far as case dimensions, case quantity, inner pack quantity, selling units, I2 of 5, UPC, description and packaging. The Planning/Logistics Team Member will audit and inspect product on a daily basis to determine vendor compliance as well as recommend new packaging/handling requirements to improve safety and damage control. The Planning/Logistics Team Member will ensure all stock and nonstock returns are completed accurately and timely as well as the responsibility for communicating all logistic issues to the General Office. In addition, this position may require working in other departments as needed. Any other duties deemed necessary by the Manager on duty or the Planning Coach.

  • Ensure all product inbound, stocked and shipped is accurate regarding case dimensions, case quantity, inner pack quantity, selling units, I2 of 5, UPC, description and packaging.
  • Audit and inspect product daily to determine vendor compliance.
  • Recommend new packaging/handling requirements to improve safety and damage control.
  • Ensure all stock and nonstock returns are completed accurately and timely.
  • Communicate all logistic issues to the General Office.
  • Work in other departments as needed.
  • Perform any other duties as deemed necessary by the Manager on duty or the Planning Coach.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Demonstrated track record of good attendance.
  • Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
  • Basic computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • If Internal, no written warnings within the last 6 months or final warnings within the last 12 months.
  • Post-secondary education in business, supply chain management, transportation or related field.
  • Experience in a customer service role.
  • Experience using troubleshooting processes to resolve problems.
  • Experience in distribution center operations.
  • Experience with software applications such as Excel, Access or data management system (Lowe’s DMS preferred).
  • Experience managing multiple projects/tasks simultaneously requiring a strong ability to prioritize and manage time.
  • Previous power equipment experiences (e.g. Reach truck or RC).
