About The Position

Big River Resources is seeking an experienced Operational Safety Director to provide enterprise‑level leadership for safety, health, process safety, and emergency preparedness across multiple ethanol production facilities and grain elevators. This senior leadership role is responsible for setting corporate safety standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving a strong, consistent safety culture across all locations. The Operational Safety Director serves as the company's primary technical authority and regulatory liaison, partnering closely with executive leadership and site teams to support safe, reliable operations. The ideal candidate brings 8–10+ years of progressive safety leadership experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, ethanol, or grain handling environments, along with deep expertise in OSHA General Industry standards, Process Safety Management, and multi‑site safety programs. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to lead investigations and audits, and a proactive, improvement‑focused mindset. Regular travel to operating facilities is required.
