About The Position

The position involves executing operational risk management tasks and responsibilities under the supervision of the Operational Risk Manager. The role includes managing and performing risk assessment, risk management, and risk monitoring on a Company-wide basis. Tasks may include managing Risk and Control Self-Assessments, third party risk management, business continuity management, physical security, fraud risk management, insurance risk management, model risk management, data governance, and enterprise risk management. The role requires extensive communication and collaboration with other members of the Risk Department and Company personnel, and the ability to work on multiple project tasks simultaneously with limited supervisory oversight.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university.
  • Three or more years of financial institutions risk management experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as Federal Reserve Bank publications.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Proficiency in using Excel spreadsheets for data aggregation and calculations.
  • Knowledge of risks and controls objectives applicable to financial institutions.
  • Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Operational Risk Manager in executing the Company's Risk and Controls Self-Assessment (RCSA) program.
  • Write operational risk assessment reports and complete operational risk assessment documentation.
  • Operate the Company's Risk and Controls Self-Assessment software.
  • Oversee the Company's Third Party Risk Management process.
  • Review due diligence documentation prepared by third parties and manage vendor contracts.
  • Document internal controls and assess their effectiveness related to third party software systems.
  • Operate the Company's Third Party Risk Management software.
  • Support the Corporate Security Officer in executing the Company's Physical Security Management process.
  • Coordinate with line of business and IT managers for Business Continuity Planning.
  • Document and administer the Company's Business Continuity Management Program.
  • Support the Operational Risk Manager in executing the Company's Model Risk Management Program.
  • Support the Operational Risk Manager in executing the Company's Data Governance Program.
  • Monitor and report on the Company's fraud mitigation process.
  • Document risks and controls associated with Identity Theft.
  • Assist with the Bank's Notary and Medallion Stamp Programs.
  • Develop and create reporting for Enterprise Risk Committee and the Risk Committee.
  • Maintain insurance policies documentation and facilitate insurance claims handling.
  • Assist with internal audit and Federal Reserve Bank examiner requests.
  • Serve internal and external customers in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist the Operational Risk Manager in other special projects as needed.
