Background: The Enterprise Incident Management (“EIM”) team is a team within the Protect Pillar in Systems. The Protect Pillar is a unique BBH-construct designed for clear, centralized and coordinated accountability: to protect against physical and logical security risks; to safeguard stakeholder assets; and to detect, prepare for, and respond effectively to security events. To that end, the Protect Pillar encompasses the following areas: Cybersecurity; Enterprise Data Protection and Data Governance; Enterprise Incident Management; Global Security; and Information Security Management (“ISM”). Given that technology is an integral component of the Pillar’s control measures and a key asset to safeguard, the Protect Pillar sits within BBH’s Systems organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in information security or business continuity / disaster recovery role, preferably within financial services.
  • Technical proficiency of IT systems, infrastructure and applications.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity response frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO), DFS Part 500 regulations, DORA, BCP/DR best practices and industry practices.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating and enhancing our systems recovery testing framework, including ensuring that critical applications can be restored in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring data backups and restoration protocols are effective.
  • Completing and tracking remediation from test results to closure.
  • Ensuring documentation (e.g., on risk-based approach to testing, on applications exempted from testing) is complete, accurate and up-to-date.
  • Designing and conducting recovery exercises, including tabletop exercises, systems recovery/full failover simulations, application-level fail simulations, and other technical recovery efforts.
  • Evaluating and enhancing the Firm’s business continuity and disaster recovery (BCDR) protocols, including operational resiliency plans, business impact assessments (BIA) and BCP plans.
  • Collaborating with business units and other Systems units to identify and improve restoration protocols for business-critical applications.
  • Serving as the point of escalation of the BCP team and fostering collaboration and cross-training.
  • Responding to Internal Audit/ SOC 2 reviews of our BCP program.
  • Responding to client DDQ and participating in client due diligence meetings regarding the Firm’s BCDR program.
