About The Position

The Operational Readiness Operations & Maintenance Manager at Freeport-McMoRan is responsible for ensuring the successful transition of assets from the design and construction stage into operational business units. This role involves developing operational plans, schedules, and budgets for a portfolio of capital projects ranging from $100M to $5B, and leading a global team of Project Readiness Managers to deliver effective operational readiness strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline or related scientific field and eight (8) years of related experience, or a High School Diploma and thirteen (13) years of related experience.
• Familiarity with processes, systems, and terminology in project management, engineering, operations, maintenance, and construction.

Nice To Haves

• Relevant site operations and/or maintenance leadership experience.
• Operational Readiness project experience.
• Ability to speak technical Spanish and/or Bahasa Indonesia in addition to English.

Responsibilities

• Develop operational aspects of project-specific plans, schedules, and budgets for capital projects.
• Lead the global team of Project Readiness Managers to ensure successful project transitions.
• Deliver effective management of operational readiness, including maintenance procedures and production forecasts.
• Provide design feedback to support safe and sustainable operations.
• Recruit, develop, and manage Project Readiness Managers and their teams.
• Collaborate with project and site leadership to communicate operational readiness progress.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and regulatory changes related to operational readiness.
