Operational Quality Engineer— Develops and implements methods and processes for process control, improvement, testing, and inspection to ensure products are defect free and functional. Develops and installs sophisticated inspection equipment and performs product testing and analysis to maintain quality levels and minimize defects and failure rates. Analyzes reports and defective products to determine trends and establish corrective actions. Works closely with suppliers on quality issues; ensures effective corrective actions are initiated and implemented and contributes to quality improvement programs. Operational Quality Engineer

Requirements

  • Ability to sit for entirety of shift and work on computer.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and document process and system audits, monitoring action plans
  • Analysis of production & quality processes, identification of development opportunities
  • Daily quality support for production
  • Continuously improve the quality management system
  • Participation in the investigation of complaints, support in the resolution of internal problems/complaints
  • Analysis and development of key quality indicators (e.g. customer satisfaction, customer complaints, scrap, internal outages, and audit results) in cooperation with various partner departments
  • Active participation in customer and 3rd party audits, preparation of the area for audits, audit management
  • Participation in the process of first samples, documentation, compilation of PPAP documentation, and delivery to the applicant
  • Responsible for coordinating root causes and problem solutions, data analysis, corrective and preventive actions related to product quality
  • Support the monitoring of supplier performance in cooperation with the procurement area
  • Contribute to the introduction of new products (NPI) from a quality point of view
  • Preparation of quality reports and presentations
  • Support customer claims handling as needed.
