Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies, Strategic Studies, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 10 years of operational planning experience, with at least 5 years at the Combatant Command (CCMD) or Component Command level.
  • U.S. Citizen with Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
  • Strong familiarity with regional security dynamics, Levant political/military relationships, and coalition partner structures.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with senior military leaders, interagency representatives, and coalition partners to support multinational and interagency planning efforts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing high-level planning documents, briefings, and assessments for senior leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., National Security Affairs, Strategic Studies, International Relations, or Defense Studies) preferred.
  • Completion of Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) Phase I or equivalent service professional military education (e.g., Command and General Staff College, Naval War College, Air Command and Staff College) highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide contingency planning, including the development, integration, and coordination of Component supporting plans for Combatant Command OPLANs and CONPLANs.
  • Support USCENTCOM AOR planning, with a specific focus on the Levant Region.
  • Provide planning support to joint, bi-lateral, multi-lateral, and coalition planning conferences/working groups, to include producing in-progress reviews (IPRs), briefings, and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Serve as expert on knowledge of USCENTCOM and MARCENT Battle Rhythm events (e.g., Joint Planning Group, Joint Planning Board, Modeling and Simulation Working Group).
  • Develop and present assessments, briefs, information papers, and naval messages supporting strategic, campaign, posture, and policy planning.
  • Organizing, coordinating, and managing conferences and working groups within a Service Component Command structure.
