About The Position

The Operations Lead manages daily operations to ensure materials are delivered to production areas when needed, where needed, and in the required condition. This role leads GE Vernova and/or contract associates in the preparation and staging of large materials, drives continuous improvement, and coaches the team to maintain consistent material flow. The role also partners with the 3PL warehouse team, providing feedback on performance to materials system standards to support uninterrupted production.

Responsibilities

  • Direct people management of crane & prep operations for supermarket part deliveries
  • Provide process leadership for daily execution and standard work of all supermarket operations
  • Partner with the 3PL warehouse team to ensure market and stockroom activities are executed without impact to production
  • Provide tactical execution support of operations when required during temporary coverage gaps
  • Lead the daily management system focused on shop walks, audits, and problem solving to acheive daily requirements
  • Promote and lead daily safety discussions and concern reporting to drive safety awareness
  • Lead & develop training and coverage plans to ensure stable operations
  • Monitor and manage KPIs to support SQDC business objectives and develop scorecards to communicate performance
  • Lead best practice sharing across shifts and provide leadership for change management efforts and standard updates
  • Lead and facilitate continuous improvement (CI) initiatives within the markets and stockroom.
  • Coach team members on the proper execution of standard work.
  • Create, update, and maintain accurate written work instructions to ensure consistent execution and adherence to standards.
  • Enter and track work orders for equipment repairs and maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and present updates to the leadership team as required.
