About The Position

We are seeking a proactive and analytical professional to lead lean manufacturing initiatives on the shop floor while supporting production planning and scheduling. This hybrid role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in lean principles-preferably gained in the automotive sector-and a passion for driving operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Experience in lean manufacturing, with a strong understanding of tools such as value stream mapping, 5S, SMED, and Kaizen.
  • Background in production planning, scheduling, or operations coordination.
  • Automotive industry experience is a strong asset due to its lean maturity.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
  • Design and implement future state processes using lean tools and methodologies.
  • Develop and execute tactical plans to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure alignment and sustainability of improvements.
  • Support daily and weekly production planning and scheduling activities.
  • Monitor production performance and adjust schedules as needed to meet delivery and quality targets.
  • Review work center capacities and align with keeping resources with work orders.
  • Update delivery dates when not on schedule to make delivery date.
  • Ensure flow is happening throughout the plant from first to last operation, analyze why if not.
  • Develop visual KPI boards for each area/work center in the plant.
  • The ability to recognize bottlenecks and recommend needed adjustments.
  • Other initiatives and duties as assigned by management.
