About The Position

Ryan Companies has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Operational Excellence Intern in our Minneapolis office.! This position is available as a summer internship running from May-August. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Analytics team as an intern. This position will split time between the Insights and Operations Departments where you will learn how to leverage data to help stakeholders make more informed decisions. You will have the opportunity to partner with and present to various industry experts and data professionals on your actionable insights that address real problems the business is facing!

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or have recently completed a bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Construction Management, or related field
• Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Knowledge or interest in learning PowerBI, SQL, Miro, BigQuery, Chat CPT
• Able to work 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Meet with stakeholders to understand and identify needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand impacts of decisions
• Use various tools to query, transform, validate, analyze and visualize data
• Clearly and effectively communicate findings through reports, dashboards, discussions and presentations focusing on what's important
• Build data models and understand flow of data
• Develop and document processes and procedures
• Support ad-hoc requests and projects as needed
