About The Position

HelloFresh is seeking a highly motivated OpEx Business Intelligence Intern (Operational Excellence) to join our Operational Excellence team. This role will focus on streamlining our operational reporting landscape, standardizing process improvement deliverables, and exploring the intersection of AI and fulfillment operations. You will play a key role in reducing reporting clutter across Tableau and Grafana, refining our labor models, and developing training programs that empower our floor leaders with data-driven insights. Expectations The OpEx Analytics Internship is a 10-week full-time opportunity running from June 8, 2026, to August 14, 2026 .

Requirements

  • Current Undergraduate: Ideally studying Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Analytical & Tech-Savvy: You are proficient in SQL and have experience with BI tools (Tableau, Grafana, or Domo).
  • Process-Oriented: You have an interest in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) and enjoy creating order out of complex data sets.
  • Communicator: You can translate complex data into clear, actionable steps for both technical teams and frontline operational leaders.
  • Self-Starter: You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to "figure it out" when presented with ambiguous operational challenges.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Python/R is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting Optimization: Conduct a comprehensive audit of existing Tableau and Grafana dashboards to eliminate redundancies and create a "single source of truth" for operational metrics.
  • Standardization & Deliverables: Create Value Stream Mapping (VSM) templates to ensure standard formats and high-quality deliverables across all transformation projects.
  • Labor Modeling: Assist in revising and updating the Standard Staffing Model to improve accuracy in fulfillment planning and resource allocation.
  • Training & Development: Design and launch training programs for floor leaders and corporate teams to increase data literacy and tool adoption.
  • AI Innovation: Identify opportunities to integrate AI/Machine Learning into current workflows to automate manual data tasks or improve predictive analytics.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Work closely with automation, engineering, and maintenance (M&RE) teams to improve critical input metrics for the Distribution Centers.
