About The Position

Responsible for maintaining the integrity and quality of enterprise database systems. Provides technical expertise in the design, implementation, configuration, maintenance, and administration of enterprise database systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of experience in computer science, information systems or database experience.
• Industry standard database certification required.
• If individual does not have Epic DBA certification, must certify post-hire within six (6) months.
• Technical expertise in the maintenance and administration of enterprise database systems.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical expertise in the design, implementation, configuration, maintenance, and administration of enterprise database systems.
• Identifies and resolves database problems within application environments, service requirements.
• Identifies and resolves performance bottlenecks and related performance issues.
• Develops, maintains, and implements policies and procedures for ensuring database integrity and security.
• Monitors database environments.
• Work within UMMC Service desk ticketing system and schedule.
