About The Position

The Operational Database Administrator (ODBA) is a critical, hands-on role. This person installs and administers the operational database (ODB) environments. He/She also performs environment setup and configuration, proactive monitoring, and maintenance. This role is also responsible for setting up SFTP and maintenance of such. Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Technology Trade School preferred.
• Strong Linux skills using the command-line prompt, including navigating directory structures and file manipulation required.
• Understanding of operating system concepts such as user and group ownership and file permissions, file system/volume group configuration, etc. required.
• Knowledge of a command shell (Korn, POSIX, Bourne, or C), plus languages and utilities such as awk, sed, and Perl - recommended.
• Full Operational Database Administrator (ODBA) (Epic/EMR) certification within 6 months of hire required.
• Maintenance of certifications is required to continue in the role.

• Red hat Linux certified preferred.
• Additional certifications may be requested to be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Install and administer the operational database (ODB) environments.
• Perform environment setup and configuration.
• Conduct proactive monitoring and maintenance of the database.
• Set up and maintain SFTP.

• Full-Time position with a schedule of Mon - Fri 8AM to 4:30PM.
• On-call required for weekends and holidays as needed.
